The defeat in the final of Copa America was a bitter pill to swallow for the Argentineans, who believe they deserved better luck in the match for what they produced during the 90 minutes of play. The equalizer by Brazil, on 93 minutes, was considered unfair by the Argentinean squad, who ended the competition with the best offensive record. Coach Marcelo Bielsa believes his men were superior in both periods and the draw happened by mere chance.
"It was clear that we were superior to the rivals throughout the match. There are teams who reverse the scoring with merit and other who manage to do so by accident, and this was a clear example.", concluded the manager.
At the helm of the Argentinean national team since 1998, Marcelo Bielsa hasn´t yet lifted a major trophy with the side, who haven´t won na official championship since 1993, when they clinched the Copa America, in Ecuador.
