Cusco, the historic capital of Peru, is in festive mood and ready to welcome the teams who will play in the third and fourth place playoff in Copa América. Depending on the results, the Cuscan people might be visited by almighty Argentina and Brazil.

The renewed and enlarged Garcilaso de la Vega Stadium, with capacity for 40 thousand fans, boasts an area for local and foreign authorities, a VIP lounge, and modern booths for press.

Early in the morning, non-numbered tickets for the North, South and East stands were sold. The price is 10 nuevos soles for the popular stands and 30 for the East stands. The local Organizing Committee have already begun to sell the numbered tickets for the West stands.

The directors are studying the possibility of holding a preliminary match between Cienciano, current South American cup holders, and bitter rivals Deportivo Gracilazo, who are competing in the Peruvian Cup.
