For Argentinean midfielder Andrés D´Alessandro, one of the pillars on the Alvicelestes, the Peruvians will be the toughest opponents because, as hosts, they will come out to draw first blood on Saturday, at the Elias Aguirre, in Chiclayo.
He stated that if Argentina want to reach their objective of winning the Copa América, they will have to beat all rivals, including Peru.
"Both sides will give their all on Saturday, because it´s do or die, especially for Peru, the hosts. They will be supported by the home crowd. But I believe in us.", he said.
Argentinean coach Marcelo Bielsa guaranteed that the quarterfinal match against Peru will be "very entertaining", after they managed to beat Uruguay 4-2 and earn the runners-up spot in Group B of Copa América.
Speaking of the performance of his men, Bielsa expressed that the attack is more effective and that individually and as a unit, the team have improved.
